Facebook’s New Features For Students

Facebook is going to launch a new section for students called ‘Campus‘. According to the announcement, using it, college and university students will be able to create a completely different profile outside of the original Facebook to establish communication and connections between themselves.

Where to use College Email Address and Graduation Academic Year. However, access to the Facebook campus can be accessed from the original Facebook account, which is a lot like Facebook Watch.

However, there will be an opportunity to use their real Facebook account information and cover photos. There will also be opportunities to add or remove additional information from the campus profile. However, the more information is given, the more opportunities there will be to connect with classmates and the community.

Here students will be able to communicate with each other. News, groups, events, group chatrooms will be separate. Even the name of their chat room will be ‘Campus Chat’. They will be able to request other student friendships from the campus directory. The news feeds that will be here will only be the feeds of friends on campus. Chat here will be a real-time chat room. You can create your own chat room with different friends.

Facebook, the most used social media of the time, was launched on February 4, 2004.

Features

Campus-only News Feed: Campus is a college email-verified space designed for students to get updates from classmates, groups, and events in a college-specific feed. They can plan virtual concerts, plan group study, or ask for advice with college-only Groups and Events.

Campus directory: College is about finding your people, so we created a classmate’s directory to make it easy to find and meet new people. Like in the early days when Facebook was a college-only network, students can find classmates by class, major, year, and more.

New Methods to chat: Campus Chats are real-time chat rooms. Students can create chat rooms for their dorm, clubs, or any other groups they’re part of within Campus.

Safety and Privacy: They built Campus to be safe, inclusive, and optional.

Education activities are going on online as almost all educational institutions are closed due to the global corona epidemic. Therefore, in order to make it easier for the students to communicate as well as to exchange any kind of information about the campus and the students, the initiative has been taken to launch the ‘Facebook Campus’ feature, said the Facebook authorities.
